03.03.20	Tried making moving panels to prevent CO2 or fire comming from the nose wheel pusrod slots.  I determined that I needed to verify that I get correct rudder deflection before continuing… jumped to rear fuselage to install the tail section.	2.00
03.03.04	Prepared plane for inspection (removed rear top skin, installed boots on contactors and drilled drain holes).  Got the fuselage inspected.  No snag.  But a couple of advises, change some star nuts for nylon lock nuts on screws, prime and paint some 4130 tubes.  The inspector really does not like the design of the seat belt attachment points.  Following the inspection, I noticed some bolts that showed too many threads.  I added a washer on those.  I closed the leading edge of the center wing.	6.00
03.03.03	I repaired the two mistakes from yesterday.  For the hole in the side skin, I drilled a releif hole and I installed a 0.040" plate held in place with 7 A5 rivets to take the load.  For the vertical stiffener, I installed a 0.040" stiffener inside the existing one.	5.00
03.03.02	(From Feb 28 to Mar 2).  Made Wing root filets with 5052-H34, 0.040" material.  I used a stretcher and a shinker to make it fit the wing profile.  A lot of sanding and filing is required to remove the marks from the shrinker and stretcher.  When drilling, I made two mistakes.  Drilled into the left fuselage side skin from bottom.  And drilled into a L stiffener.  My inspector comes for a pre-cover inspection this wednesday and I'll show these mistakes to him to see the severity.  I also vacuumed the fwd fuse and I riveted the left seat bottom in place. Finally... this is electrical, but I installed insulation boots on the battery side of the two contactors behind the seat.	14.00
03.02.27	Reinforced the channel from the center console to the baggage shelf with two L stiffeners.  My channel was wider but probably did not have the same stiffness as the plans one (which has its angle aligned with the stiffeners at the bottom.  Now, this is resolved.   I also riveted the front part of the middle top skin and made some cleanup in the garage.  I reviewed the installation of my rudder pedals.  I don't like how they work (because the brake change inclination with the pedal movement).  To correct this would require a major re-design of the pedals and I won't do this now.	4.00
03.02.26	Changed the bolts from the two main gear boxes (the ones I previously installed were one size too long --- still showing 4 threads with two washers).  I had to remove the wheel, relax the bungees and then change the bolts.  Accessing the nuts is pretty difficult and I tried a variety of techniques.  One that worked was using a 7/16" wrench with a 3/8" socket for the upper bolts.	4.00

02.12.28	Cut the upper portion of the sound proof material for the firewall. + cut some small floor pieces	0.75
02.12.27	Finalized installation of brake cylinders.  Connected tubing to cylinders and parking brake valve.  Moved parking brake valve between the pedals. Moved the fuel pump over the cabin heater (there was intereference with right pedal when doing a full right turn). Re-installed the nose wheel, Riveted the firewall. Re-installed the engine mound and dummy engine.  Inflated the nose wheel (it lost air).  Installed cabin sound proof material on floor.  Cut the pieces for cabin walls and bottom of firewall.	10.00
