01.08.12 Cleaned garage, moved the work table to accomodate position of the fuselage, added a 4-foot section to the table, leveled the table. 7.00
01.03.06 Made a new female die with layers of MDF.  I also installed guides to hold the aluminium flat bar precisely. Finally, I installed the die on the bending press and fastened it in place (with blocs and screws). 3.00 Fork
01.03.04 Worked on my hydraulic press for bending the wheel forks.  I completed it and it works except for the female die which was not robust enough.  I need to make a new one. 5.00 Fork
01.03.03 Making a hydraulic press for bending the wheel forks 3.00 Fork
00.08.20 Made supports for wings.  These will allow for easy storage of the wings under the deck behind the house. 3.50
00.04.17 Made cover for my plans.  I used some scrap 0.016" aluminium sheet as well as a scraped piano hinge.  For the holes, I used some rivnuts with screws.  I like it! 2.50
00.01.29 Built the leading edge skin press 4.00 Wings
00.01.26 Designed a press to form the leading edge skin. Went to buy materials and have component cut (and routed). 2.00 Wings
99.12.11 Leveled and straightened work table 2.00 Tools
99.10.25 Changed the switch on the ribbon sander. 1.00 Tools
99.09.09 Repaired hydraulic press (installed steel plate) 0.50
99.08.31 R. Gervais, the designer of my bending brake came home to look at it… He found that the brake have been modified after he made it.  Nevertheless, he gave me advises on how to proceed to make it straight (I need to disassemble it and verify each part with a straight edge (the table first).  0.75 Tools
99.08.27 Worked with Geatan Tremblay to adjust bending brake… I think we improved it. I will see that tomorrow. 1.50 Tools
99.08.26 Today, I spoke with several people from the RAA Chapter 415 about the bending brake.  I have a few options… outsource the bends, go at a location and use the facility to bend the parts myself or have the bending brake repaired.  An individual will come here within a week to look at it. 0.00 Tools
99.07.04 Made drill stop with a piece of rubber tubing that I took of my EA-81 engine.  It works very well! 0.10 Tools
99.06.24 Made a flange bending tool out of scrap L angles.  The two Ls are riveted together, leaving a 0.040" slot on the other side. 0.50 Tools
99.04.19 Made hole duplication tool 0.25 Tools
99.04.18  During the last few days, I spent time moving stuff to the shed and arranging my workshop.  Today, I built my work table (that I consider a tool). (the time include part of shopping) 4.00 Tools
99.04.12 I did not like the shape of the formed rivets.  I decided to purchase a ball shaped Dremel high speed cutter (model 114).  I remade the A4 and I also made the A5 head. 3.00 Tools
99.04.11 Modified riveter's head for A4 rivets with 1/4" drill bit. Tested on about 40 rivets. 1.50 Tools
99.04.03 I leveled the bending brake and verified the adjustments (made several modifications). The brake is still not adequate.  A previous user will come here next week to look for the problem. Ohhh… one day I will be more productive…. 2.00 Tools
99.04.01 Put some weight on the back arms of my bending brake (so the clamp opens automatically when I release them. 0.50 Tools
99.03.28 Did not build plane parts today… I move material between the garage and the workshop.  I am installing myself in the garage for building the plane.  Today, I installed fluorescent lights in the garage.  I also got a 8 foot bending brake (for free!) 4.00 Tools
99.03.27 The L-angles I purchased from Metal Supermarket are twisted… I cannot use them.  I tried to return them to the store, but they don't want to take them back. 0.00 Tools
99.03.26 Made another hydraulic press. This time, I made it out of 2*8 instead of 2*6 3.00 Tools
99.03.25 No construction.  However, I found a bending brake (I will get it on Sunday) Tools
99.03.14 Finished building the press (4 bolts were missing and I needed different springs). 0.50 Tools
99.03.13 Built hydraulic press (2 tons) using 2*6, bolts and a hydraulic jack from Canadian Tire.  No plane (or parts I should say) construction at all :(  I need  four additional bolts on the press and shorter springs… I will finish that tomorrow. 3.50 Tools
99.03.09 Made hand seamer with old pair of pliers and 1/8 aluminium plates (soldered with JB Weld) 0.50
99.03.01 Built adapter for scuba tank air tools.  It works!  I had an adapter that I grinded, sanded and reworked (created new 3/8 NF 24 threads). I also made a groove for the o-ring using a file. Fantastic! I will be able to use a pneumatic rivet gun without a compressor. 1.00 Tools
99.02.28 Built flange fluting tool 1.00 Tools
99.02.26 Built flange fluting tool.  That is an idea that was published on the internet by Chris B.  Simple design 1.50 Tools
