02.12.22 Installed cabin heater 2.00
02.12.21 Completed and painted cabin heater 3.00
02.12.01 Made a cabin heater 5.00
01.04.30 My boarding steps were not within specs (the 80 degree angle was more like 88 degrees :(.  I brought that to my welder for correction.  Actually, it took him less than 1/2 hour to correct that. 2.50
01.03.31 Made engine mount attachment brackets and various steel parts 6.00
01.03.11 Tried to correct the wheel fork doubler which is too wide.  I could not.  I called Claude Guibault (the one who will make my wheels and brakes) and he accepted to receive me… he rather quickly corrected the problem by initiating the radius sooner and straightening the end of the radius.  I left him the forks so he can make the wheel shafts to the proper dimension. 4.00 Wheel Forks
01.03.09 Made four doublers.  My two initial ones are "usable", but the two others are no good…. :(  At least, I think they're no good. 3.00 Wheel Forks
01.03.08 Bent the two other wheel forks.  Made test pieces for the fork doublers… I will have only four attempts to make three perfect doublers… I have doubts that it won't work… and if it does not, I will probably start over with a single fork 3/8" thick. 2.75 Wheel Forks
01.03.07 Bent three test pieces for the wheel forks.  The third one was perfect.  Bent one of the three wheel forks… it is 2.5mm too narrow (the radius appears to be smaller than the test pieces which were 1" wide instead of 4" wide).   The position for compression is not the same with the production piece as it is with the test piece (the spring back is much more important with the 4" flat bar). 3.25 Wheel Forks
99.09.21 Formed all parts recently cut.  It's been a long day.  I had access to a metal shop in Berthierville.  I started working on the plane at about 9h30, to finish at 20h45.  It's nice to use real metal shop equipment… I especially enjoyed the metal shear (I can't imagine the effort I spent doing what this toy does in a snap!). 11.00 Parts
99.09.12 Filed and smoothen 31 L angles (2h).  Made various parts from scrap metal that I had under my table. (note: some are fuselage parts).  I forgot to mention that I cannot really go far on my spars as my supplier did not receive the missing flat bars (1-1/2"X1/8"). 5.00 Parts
99.09.11 Cut 31 L angles (not filed yet) (1.5h) Made 6V4-2 with André Guérin.  It was originally bend to plans dimension, but it clearly not fitted.  I called Flypass (Jack) to ask if I can undo the aft 45 degree bend and rebend at proper location.  Normally, this is not permitted, but in this case, he said that there is no problem.  I also asked if I can put bigger rivets on top of the spar... no problem. 3.00 Parts
